  • Civic are a long standing supplier of services to NZ cities. We contract to Councils for street cleaning services such as collecting litter, road sweeping, removing graffiti, water blasting, pavement cleaning and more!

    We are looking for a Finance Administrator to join our team on a full time basis.

    This role suits someone who prefers a non-corporate environment, being part of a small team, with a role that is constant and busy. Civic are heading in a change of direction, and offer flexible working from home arrangements.  Currently based in Onehunga we are on the move.

    Reporting to the Accounting & Payroll Manager you will be responsible for:
    • Responsibility for Accounts Payable function
    • Back up for Accounts Receivable and Payroll
    • Provide HR administration support
    • Other administration/finance functions as directed by Manager
    • Processing invoices received in accordance with Civic processes, via MYOB Advance system
    • Processing and administering the accounts receivable invoicing in accordance with Civic processes, via MYOB Advance system (in absence of or as directed by Accounting and Payroll Manager)
    • Processing weekly wages/salaries via Commac payroll system (in absence of or as directed by Accounting and Payroll Manager)
    • Human Resources administration - maintaining staff records as required
    • Other related duties linked to monthly Financial accounts
    To be successful you will need:
    • Minimum 2 years' experience administering payroll
    • Preference for experience in working with MYOB and Comacc
    • An eye for detail and is accurate
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • High level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft product: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
    • Good interpersonal skills when dealing with internal staff, suppliers and customers
