  • Working with the Coombes Johnston team across BMW and MINI, we are looking for a Marketing Manager who is pro-active, self-motivated and has a strong knowledge of digital marketing to deliver effective communication strategies, which add value to the business.

    Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Sales and Aftersales teams for both BMW and MINI brands, this role is responsible for managing the creative and marketing strategies of the dealership.

    Along with all dealership marketing communications, you will be responsible for utilising our digital / social media platforms, planning dealership events and partnerships. You will work with the BMW Group to implement the quarterly marketing campaigns, create company marketing plans as well as key point of contact for the Regional Marketing team and our Key Marketing suppliers.

    This role requires constant innovation and creativity to drive new ideas when developing new campaigns and initiatives for the dealership.

    To be successful in this role you must be able to provide evidence of the following:

    Key Accountabilities:
    • Development and implementation of dealership marketing strategy, project management and campaign management
    • Marketing strategies to include prospecting and loyalty of Coombes Johnston database / existing customer database
    • Offline and online media planning and management of budget / spend
    • Implementation of media buying across online channels - Google AdWords, Google Display Network, Facebook, Instagram
    • Event management including the execution of events for key product launches, VIP events, and vehicle activations
    • Social media management including local / dealership content development and community management
    • Ability to manage and build key relationships with partners as well as with BMW Group New Zealand
    • Ability to work with Sales and Aftersales teams in determining priorities and alignment - tailoring National campaigns to our PMA
    • Experience with graphic design (Adobe InDesign or other design platform) and copy writing
    • Email Marketing (MailChimp)
    • Database Management, Vehicle Management Systems (Trade Me, AutoPlay)
    Skills and Experience:
    • 2+ years of marketing experience
    • Experience across all marketing channels - digital marketing priority
    • Project Management and campaign management
    • Reporting of campaign targets, KPIs and success measures (ROI)
    • Ability to write copy tailored to various market segments
    • Excellent time management and the ability to multi task
    • Some experience in Chinese audience marketing would be valued - WeChat
