  • The team at Harcourts Cooper & Co are looking for an enthusiastic and focused Accounts Assistant to join our award winning team.

    We are looking for a professional and personable Accounts Assistant to provide exceptional support to our Branches and Finance team. This position requires a resilient, efficient, enthusiastic and detail oriented person that has a willingness to learn and support others.

    This is a fast-paced and broad accounting role managing a range of finance, accounting and administration activities. You will be responsible for providing a high level of professional, efficient and effective support. Our ideal candidate would have previous experience in a finance role or formal studies in finance.

    Working with the Finance Team your responsibilities will include:
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Accounts Payable
    • Administration
    • Bank reconciliations
    To succeed in this role you'll need:
    • Problem Solving skills - be fast thinking and supportive
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong numerical skills
    • Strong MS Office experience in particular excel
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Exceptional organisation and time management skills
    • Excellent planning skills with ability to meet deadlines
    • Previous accounting experience or an accounting diploma/degree, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and exposure to a range of accounting duties. Experience using Xero and/or NetSuite will be helpful, but not a necessity
    • Work autonomously in a busy environment, as well as closely with the team
