    As Dispatch Assistant, you're primarily responsible for picking, packing and fulfilling online orders as well as processing orders taken by phone. This is a customer-facing role and handles all customer contact related to online or phone orders.

    Reporting to the e-Commerce Product Manager, this role slots effortlessly into our busy and fast-paced retail team, be customer-centric and detail oriented. You will manage the efficient flow of product out of the distribution centre for both Kings retail and Give and Grow, which includes filing orders accurately while monitoring and ensuring product quality and exceeding customer expectations.

    Specific tasks will include:
    • Picking stock/Stock transfers where necessary.
    • Efficient packing (ensuring cost effective freight costs).
    • Quality maintenance of stock in dispatch (watering, feed, care).
    • Boxes/Courier bag inventory and ordering.
    • Tidy work benches/ workspace - ensuring optimum productivity during busy periods.
    • Supporting Give and Grow despatch with packing, processing and delivery fulfilment.
    • Proficient use of online freight systems Eship/G&G/Univex.
    • Delivering local orders and picking up stock between branches as required.
    • Maintaining relationships with delivery partners (NZ Post and Fastway).
    • Weekly reporting on challenges, successes and opportunities.
    • Support the Botany Branch Manager on day's where there is limited online fulfilment requirements.
    Skills that need to be demonstrated:
    • A full class 1 drivers licence
    • Ability to put the customer first and deliver a solution that benefits both the customer and the business
    • A high sense of urgency/ initiative
    • A strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work well in a team environment but also autonomously
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Positive attitude and enthusiasm
    • Be reliable and hard working
    Plant / horticulture knowledge or experience is highly regarded, however not essential.

    This is a contract role that will run until the 24th December 2020 (or be extended into January 2021). The hours for this position are Tuesday - Saturday, 8.30am - 5.30pm.
