  • Furniture Zone has stores around the North Island, all of which stock and sell great quality and value for money furniture and beds.

    We're currently looking for an enthusiastic Retail Store Manager to join our Hamilton team.

    We are looking for someone who is committed to excellence with the determination to succeed in driving the business forward.

    Your day to day tasks and responsibilities will include:
    • Ensure the smooth-running operation of all aspects of the store on a day to day basis
    • Ordering and receiving stock, and manage stock
    • Ensure stock is neatly displayed
    • Manage any temporary or contract workers on delivery days and other timeframes they are working onsite
    • Undertake all aspects of daily administration including banking, payments and more
    • Assist in the local promotion of the store and products, working with the Marketing team
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt and friendly service and dealing with any issues
    • Observe and address any health and safety risks
    To be successful in this role you will need to have proven experience achieving performance-based KPIs, as well as an absolute passion for creating an outstanding customer experience.

    Other essential skills and attributes include:
    • Minimum qualifications in Level 5 in Business Management and/or 2 years minimum experience in retail management
    • Clear understanding of the Consumer Guarantees Act and other consumer-related legislation
    • Knowledge of and ability to follow all health and safety regulations
    • Positive attitude, outgoing, friendly personality
    • Self motivation and the drive to achieve/exceed sales targets
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Reliable and flexible
    • Fit and able to lift furniture
    • Computer and organisational skills
