  • For over 30 years, Odyssey House Christchurch has had a mission to improve the wellbeing of individuals, family and community affected by drug and alcohol addiction, mental health and related issues.

    The weekend position supports 20 adult male residents in their alcohol and drug treatment and recovery with a particular focus on community.

    In this role, you will:
    • Take part in weekend community activities including family day and house outings.
    • Facilitating group work as scheduled
    • Working along side our residents supporting our Therapeutic Community structure
    To be successful in this role, you will:
    • Be a qualified Support Worker or working towards a qualification
    • Experience working with clients in the mental health or addiction sector
    • Have excellent organisation skills, being able to respond to proactive and reactive requirements of the residents
    • Show good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents, family/whanau, colleagues, and other health providers
    • Have the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
    Other hours may be available on a casual basis.
