Odyssey House Christchurch has been providing drug and alcohol treatment programmes for over 30 years. Our Adult Men's Residential programme offers a mix of clinical approaches including Maori and Pasifika concepts of health and wellbeing from a Therapeutic Community model.
Residential treatment is one part of the recovery journey. This role is pivotal in the next steps our residents take.
Securing employment, housing and meaningful activity are critical components to all of our wellbeing. And to do this role, you'll understand that, and use your excellent communication and networking skills to challenge stigma, and build compassionate communities on behalf of Odyssey House and our clients.
To be successful in the role, you'll need:
Experience of the housing and employment sector, with an understanding of the IPS model an advantage.
High energy and a can do attitude because no two days are the same
Practical and creative problem solving skills
Ability to facilitate groups and work one on one with clients
A professional approach to working with community connections
This role is 20 hours per week.
