The Duke of Marlborough Hotel, situated on the waterfront, in Russell, Bay of Islands has been operating since 1827 and offers a unique restaurant and accommodation experience. The Duke of Marlborough Restaurant focuses on using fresh, seasonal produce and is very busy catering for in-house guests, weddings, conferences and the large number of tourists frequenting the area.
Charlottes' Kitchen was established in late 2015 and is bought to you by the rascals and reprobates from the Duke of Marlborough Hotel. A totally different experience from the Duke which is steeped in history and tradition, Charlotte's Kitchen brings a social contemporary dining experience to the Bay of Islands - a funky fun atmosphere for casual dining and drinking.
We're currently seeking talented and experienced Chef de Parties to join our teams in Russell or Paihia.
You will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and co-ordinating particular sections of production.
To be successful in this role you will need:
4+ years kitchen experience
A level 3 certification in Hospitality (professional cookery)
Great interpersonal and leadership skills
An honest, reliable, and proactive work ethic
Ability to work as part of a team and in a fast paced environment
Good personal hygiene
Although we're primarily recruiting for Chef de Parties, if you have other relevant experience as a Chef in high volume, quality restaurants- we'd also like to hear from you.
