  • Odyssey House and Pathway Trust are operating a women only residential alcohol and other drug treatment service. He Kete Oranga Mana Wahine is aimed at women involved in the criminal justice system.

    We are looking for a Clinician to support clients within the programme, both as a facilitator or groups and a key worker for individual clients. As it is a residence, based on a therapeutic community model, staff support recreation, medication and family activities as well.

    You will be working in a rural residential setting, 20 mins south of Christchurch city so reliable transport is a must.

    Hours are rostered in advance, 40 hours per week and will span Monday-Friday on two alternating shifts either starting at 7.30am or mid afternoon until 10pm. There is also one Saturday per fortnight to support family visits.

    You will need:
    • good organisational skills
    • be a strong communicator both one on one and in groups.
    • to be a team player working with clinicians and support workers
    • have experience in Alcohol or Other Drug treatment
    • registered and qualified in an allied health profession (or working towards)
    The current contract funding is only in place until June 2020 so this is currently a fixed term position until then, but we are confident that the results from the service have been successful and further funding will be secured prior to then.
