  • You'll be working for a Kiwi-owned success story in the business of distributing luggage, travelware & accessories and licensed products through a range of channels including retail, corporate and B2B. Through the newly created role of Business Development Manager (B2B, Wholesale, Corporate) you'll be responsible for developing new business, key accounts and opportunities to grow revenues specifically with corporate and B2B customers.

    Founded by the current owners in 2001 the business has enjoyed considerable success over recent years culminating in winning the Tauranga Business Excellence Awards 2018 (Sales & Distribution). The business is looking to continue its strong growth record with the appointment of a proven, driven and ambitious sales professional.

    While a number of long-standing and sizeable Key Accounts are already well established there is an expectation that you would significantly increase both the business we do with these customers and build a strong portfolio of new business accounts.

    You will need to be a 'hunter', who can identify growth opportunities, open doors and build relationships with B2B and B2C clients. Working with key accounts and direct with the corporate market you will need to be a self-starter and able to suggest products and ranging which would suit the client brief.

    As the Business Development Manager, you will have a proven track record selling into Head Office level situations and be comfortable initiating and building relationships with potential new accounts. Recognising opportunities at all levels of the business should be second nature and being comfortable to work with our current team to come up with innovative options to meet the client's requirements.

    You will be well planned, able to think on your feet and operate with a strong business acumen.

    Key responsibilities include:
    • Implementing sales and marketing strategies to achieve the company's corporate & B2B sales objectives
    • Specific responsibility for Corporate sales & Key Accounts within the greater Auckland geographical region but with an eye to developing new customers and markets nationally
    • Optimise the sales potential for Voyager licensed products & strategic relationships including the official All Blacks luggage range and Netball New Zealand sponsorship
    • Providing regular sales plans & monthly reports
    Skills & Experience:
    • At least 5 years B2B sales experience
    • Proven ability to deliver sales results & manage a sales budget
    • Excellent relationship building, communication & interpersonal skills
    • Track record in consultative selling techniques
    • Experienced in managing a geographical sales territory and/or product category
    • Sound commercial acumen & negotiation skills
    • Excellent presentation skills both face-to-face, written, verbal and using digital formats
