  • Johnston Ebbett is part of the Ebbett Group - a trusted name in the automotive industry since 1928. We're locally owned and operated and are proud of our Holden & HSV dealerships in both Wellington and Porirua.

    We are currently looking for a Senior Parts Consultant to join our team at Johnston Ebbett.

    You'll be overseeing the daily operations of our Parts department and will provide support to our Service team as and where necessary.

    You will be working with retail and wholesale customers in the sale of parts and accessories, and will be responsible for ensuring all customer queries are dealt with to the highest standards of customer care.

    We're looking for an experienced automotive professional with a proven track record of success in a similar role.

    Specific responsibilities will include:
    • Achieve Parts department sales budget
    • Comply with department policy to maintain good relations with other departments
    • Improve Dealership profitability and influence positive outcomes
    • Check, inspect and authorise all necessary orders, picking slips, requisitions and purchase orders
    • Receive and process all incoming monies from deliveries
    • Stock take, invoicing and general administrative tasks
    The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience working in a Parts department.

    Other essential skills and attributes include:
    • Sales and customer service experience and skills
    • Effective communication skills - written and verbal
    • The ability to work in a team environment
    • A high level of personal presentation
    • A strong understanding of automotive parts and servicing
    • Confidence in up-selling products
    The main focus of this role is to ensure the ongoing success of our Parts department. This role requires effective customer follow up and attention to detail.
