We are looking for a peer support worker to join our friendly team who work predominantly with clients in the criminal justice system. ADAS work in Canterbury prisons, at Community Probation sites, at the Justice Precinct and in the community. You must be able to work up to 1-2 evenings per week.
The work will involve co-facilitating groups and individual client work including screening clients and the development of relapse prevention plans. You must have good computer skills (or the ability to learn) and the ability to relate well with clients, our stakeholders and other agency staff. You will need good organisational and communication skills and the ability to be a team player.
The preferred applicant will have personal experience in the area and hold (or be willing to undertake) a peer support or other health qualification. Start date as soon as possible.
Induction & on the job training will be provided to the successful applicant
