We are a busy manufacturing operation based in Mt Wellington with a need for an experienced planner with leadership skills to lead and manage our planning team. Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Manager, this position is critical to the performance of the supply chain function and company outcomes.
What will you be doing?:
Implementing best-in-class planning and scheduling systems and processes
Lead a small team of planning professionals
Driving the development of accurate demand forecasting and timely provision of production plans to the manufacturing site
Collaboration with stakeholders such as logistics, manufacturing and purchasing functions to achieve required business outcomes
Monitor and optimise inventory holding
Performance analysis and reporting
To be successful in this role you will need:
Around five years planning experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience leading small teams or projects
An in-depth understanding of all aspects of supply chain
Knowledge of inventory and stock management
Knowledge of ERP systems (experience with JDE will be highly regarded)
Excellent collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal)
Solid ability to interpret and analyse information and data
Able to multi-task to balance both own team member and leader responsibilities
