40-hour or 2 x 20-hour position (flexible, rostered evening and Saturday)
This is an exciting opportunity for a peer support worker to work as part of a collaborative treatment programme with Odyssey House and the City Mission. You will be an experienced, dynamic worker and have a willingness to creatively develop this new venture. You will co-facilitate groups to clients in the community and work on an individual basis with clients and their whanau. The programme takes a holistic approach and incorporates other areas of wellness such as adventure therapy, exercise and art. Experience in these areas would be an asset. Hours of work to be agreed - the programme will operate from Monday to Saturday and will include some evening work.
The preferred applicant will have a relevant qualification (or be prepared to work towards this) and have experience in AOD and/or mental health work. Competitive rates of pay. Start date to be determined. Support can be offered with relocation expenses if required.
